church, new dresses, singing, family, cherry blossoms, food, egg hunts, baby brothers, sunshine and wind. easter was wonderful. and with eve now teaching ruth how to dance the merengue, our spring break is off to a hilarious start.

Sorry - I came across your blog, and I just want to tell you want an inspiration you are! I LOVE that you make your kids clothes [and do a dang fab job at it too!] - I love that you are so ingenious and creative! It's so refreshing and so inspiring! Lol it makes me wish I had daughters to make gorgeous dresses for. Maybe I'll just make them for my own enjoyment - daughters or not! :D But kudos to all that you do!

Katie, WOW! You make simply AMAZING dresses! The colors and fabric are perfect for Easter and spring! The floral neckline is stunning, very fancy like Paris but playful at the same time! Please send me your pattern or give me a little clue of how you did the neckline! I don't have a clue how to sew but I really want to learn and incorperate beautiful details like the ones that you add! PS The ruffles also add a touch of hispanic flair which I LOVE because we are hispanic! Please reply, I don't have a blog, yet but I am sending my email.

Oh my those are adorable. I love the flowered collars. Why do I love everything you make? maybe because you are super talented and your girls are stinking adorable.

Katie,
Big fan here! I am in awe of your talent and gorgeous family. I check your blog regularly. I am always stunned and impressed! I am a beginning sewer and strive to be able to create my own designs some day. Thanks so much for the inspiration!

Those dresses are absolutely beautiful. One commenter mentioned they belong on the cover of J.Crew, and I completely agree. Thank you for the inspiration. I know you mentioned you would be posting instructions on how to do the neckline, and I am really looking forward to that. But, I was wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing what fabric you used and what pattern you used to make the A-line dress. It looks like a Kona cotton, is that right? Thank you!

Adorable dresses!! I love the neckline and color of the dresses! your girls are adorable as well!

April 27, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterRachel

Is it odd that, as much as I freaking adore the neckline, its the black tights that are really sending this look over the edge for me?? Awesome. I wonder if that'd go over in Atlanta as well as in NY?
