home again

we're back in brooklyn and now have even more to share, and i will. but first there are two little girls demanding a day full of making cookies with marshmallows, art projects directed by the soon-to-be kindergardener, sprinklers at the playground, ringlet-inducing buns (again), and band practice (these two have big plans for our family)..

Those kids!! Those blonde, blonde curls!! Those glasses!! Those giggles!! So glad you're back!

That third picture's my favorite, somehow Eve's face makes me think of the woman she'll grow up to be - like she'll still make that expression when she laughs. Stunning. And your little Ruthie is quite the party girl! I think she'll always be a bit of a performer, and always be bold and beautiful. Amazing.

Your girls are adorable. I've just now discovered your blog and am so inspired from your amazing sewing skills that I actually just signed up for a sewing class! Wish me luck!

PS- If you ever decide to sell your children's clothes, I have several nieces that would keep you in great business :)

Hey, Hey, we're sure missing all of you! Love and hugs and goofy laughs to our little early bird Ruth and special hugs and kisses to our sweet project-oriented Eve, and cheers for Charlie to keep walkin' and chowin' down! And to their busy, busy mom & dad... we miss you! (Tho' it IS much more organized here these days...lol... ) Love ya all the way from Oregon.

Hey Kate, Love those glasses, they strike me as something we would have done as kids... did we ever have any of those? They just seem kinda vintagey... could be I'm just crazy.... they are so FUNNY!! - So is Ruthie.
I am going to have to try the ringlet thing with CJ, although I cut about 4 inches off her hair a couple of weeks ago, but it could still be good.
It was so nice to spend so much time with you! Too bad for me that we didn't get any sewing time together!!
Love you guys!

oh BTW I think that Eve looks like YOU so much in the pic with her eyes closed, It could seriously be you at that age.... (not that she doesn't look like you with her eyes open, just for some reason that eyes closed picture struck me...)
:)

I too am curious as to how this ringlet inducing bun works, I have a two year old daughter who's hair is quickly growing long enough to truly do things with it and you're girl's hair is darling! Do share!!! :)
