eight years ago

we became a family of two. now we are a family of five.

chip, you were right. if we would have been able to see all of this when we were first together in college we would have been so excited. because even now, right in the middle of it, whenever i take a minute to really look around and see our life i am amazed. i love you. i love all that we can call ours. . . . . except for the mouse. i do not love that elusive mouse.

here's to love, marriage, babies and the millions of things in between that have made up the substance of our life together.

Congrats, you two. We'll be at 8 next year. My how the time flies. What a moving post. Love that pic.

I would just like to let you know that there is little to no chance of me ever being able to take a picture like that. The skills are just not there!

i just knew you'd weigh in with some fun comment! um, love-rachel comey- the dagger cut out pump in brown leather is to die for- definitely the shootie i've been looking for. thanks for that, gosh dang it. and the lisa oxford is a great shoe... pretty much anything oxford i love. (: i understand the wave of complete recklessness that washes over in a boutique...i have to avoid them at all costs.

When I saw the picture of you two I had to say something. What a hoot and so you. Can't believe it's been eight years, but the three beautiful children are so worth it. Just like I can't believe Bob and Mary celebrated their 40th. Wish we could see you at Mim and Martin's party tomorrow but understand you all had a grand time for the marriage. Katie love your blog; it helps to keep grandpa and I sort of in the loop. Love you.

BEST WEDDING PHOTO EVER!!!!

I'm sorry for the shouting, but I literally said that out loud when I saw it, so I had to get my point across, here in written form, which is a bit more difficult to do, so shouting it was.

Congratulations on 8 years. That's a long time. 2 more years and that's as long as I was dating Beverly Hills 90210. Commitment baby right there. You guys are two of the cutest, fun to be around couples I know, ever. I love you both and I am so happy that my sister shares her friends because both of you are truly, dare I say it, rad. You both have a great sense of humor, and that picture taken 8 years ago proves that if you can laugh together, then well... that's awesome. I watch a lot of television and couples don't always have that, so I think that's something pretty great. Plus you also make cute babies, which is a huge plus. (Not that I would say anything if you made 'not so cute' babies, but since you don't, I can say that you do, make cute babies, not not make not cute babies. Not trying to say that looks matter, but well, looks matter. I'm kidding. Kind of. Personality you can teach, looks you can't really teach, my mother told me that. Anyway, my point was, yay you have cute kids).

And again, roundabout way of saying, awesome picture, and congratulations to the two of you. Here's to 88 more.

you're wedding is always a special memory for me. i spent the night with you in your soon-to-be-new-home the night before you and chip were married. our conversation then was one event in a short but powerful string of events that changed my life completely. you're such an amazing friend and i'm so, so glad that I got to spend part of the weekend with you 8 years ago. :)

hooray for you guys!!!
