it's good to have a sister
a few crazy moves and the clouds are lifted.
hope you all enjoy your weekend. our first baby turns six on saturday. six.

for the curious, eve's outfit up top: old navy boys blue oxford, american apparel floral leggings (she's been loving them since september), necklace made by us- huge shout-out to jenny who answered the "what do we do with these felt balls?" question that i've been asking myself for the past six years (not exaggerating), short brown boots from the winter sale at bu and the duck.

That little lady has keener style than me.
Oh my! Too funny!
Happy birthday to her! My first turns 7 on the 24th... time sure does fly!
I hope my girls get along that great in a couple years. At 3 and 16 months though it's too soon to tell.
That second photo absolutely kills me. We all need someone really silly in our lives.
Gah this series of pictures made me laugh out loud!
so cute, the dancing sister and the laughing sister :)
really love your photos and all the clothes you sew. am so inspired but have too little time and talent. haha. hope eve enjoys a her special day. my first turning 2. just out of curiosity, what camera you using? mine is never quite fast enough to catch my girl's pictures.
My first born turns 30 in May!! Thirty!!! How is that possible?
These photos could have been taken in my house. Older sister (5 1/2) just shakes her head and laughs at little crazy sister (3 1/2) all the time.
Agreed. It's GREAT to have a sister (actually, 2). I love your name & love your blog. Your kids are adorable. And your pictures are awesome. I'm new to blogging & just found your blog. it's awesome. happy rest of the week to you!
your girls are more fashionable than most adult women i know, they definitely have a better wardrobe than i ;) also, i am in love with that bureau, so in love!!!
Photo number two is hillarious!
Is it wrong for me to comment on the dresser? It's awesome, and the fact that it can double as a jumping-off point for the girls is pretty special.

Is it weird that I want those pants for myself?
Everytime you do outfit posts I think, "THose girls are going to grow up with such great and down to earth style" You dress them so beautifully without comprimising their childhood (if that makes sense) like so many other mothers you see shoving their children into kitten heels and outfits well about their age.

I love ruthie's sparkly cons in the last picture - I wish I had half her style x
wow- my oldest baby did the same thing- only she turned six the day after yours did- where did the six years go? Thank you for this post. So fun :)
I knew she would love those leggings!!
Hahahahaha! I love this photo shoot!

sisters are the best!
Great!
I have two sons, maybe two more daughters than!
Those sisters are adorable. I can see that they are having fun together.
How nice it is to have a sister.
I absolutely love the metal spinning top in the last photo! I had one when I was little and spent countless hours playing with it (pumping the handle up and down to make it go!) - they are so durable too! Somehow I have lost mine in the passage of time - do you know where I could get hold of a great spinning top like yours?
