och! I love those girls!
I am very intrigued by your new quilt idea there, can't wait to see it. Some time i am going to have to have you show me how to do the binding, and other probably basic quilting knowledge type of things that I just don't know!
AND is there anything better than homemade valentines?

Hi - That picture of Ruth looks SO much like you as a little girl... it startled me! Kudos to the little warrior on the potty training! Love ya - Deb

yes! ruth is almost fully potty trained! she and eve- who also gets a treat each time ruth uses the potty- have consumed so many sugary calories the past week, it's embarrassing. but she is a champion and i can't wait to have a break from diapers- for a couple months anyway. we still have to get over her fear of big potties, so we won't be fully ready for the outside world for another week or so.

and mom, should i start calling you deb now??

I just love the pictures you take of the girls. And I'm jealous that both will be potty trained, Sam is a long way from there...but there is hope.

I'm so in love with the pictures-- and super jealous of your camera. What is that, a Cannon Rebel xti? eos? Love what you do with it. And I'm going to start shouting things like, "hey--you--get out of my backyard" sporadically from my cube to passersby.

laurel,
it's a canon eos 30d and i love it with all my heart. i've got a 1.4 fixed 50 lens (if that means anything to you) that i also adore. really really great for portraits. not so hot for full room shots. i still have a lot to learn, but even so it is pretty hard to take a bad picture.

Is it just the new camera, or does your life look pretty darn amazing? You make me even more excited about mommyhood. Thanks for the inspiration...and encouragement (even though you didn't know you were offering it).

I think you should call mom deb because it clears up any confusion. At least for me. At first I was thinking, why is mom posting on Katie's blog, but then when she signed -Deb, I was like, 'oh wait, that's not my mom, that's someone else's. Which makes more sense.' So yeah lets call her Deb.

And I too am in love with the pics and the camera that takes them. They are just so fun and delightful. A tiny part of me (cause that's all that would fit) wishes I could join 'E' in the closet hampers just because. But another part of me wonders, 'if I visited the Riches, would Katie sneak in on me going potty?' I mean clearly we can see, they'd be great pictures, but privacy?! Still fun day at the Riches. And as always, clothes are optional. Love it.
